A manufacturing business based in Leicester is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join their team. As a Counterbalance Driver, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating a forklift (Counterbalance experience and licence required)
  • Driving and general labour tasks
  • Keeping the yard and factory floor clean
  • Sorting waste into the correct containers
  • Unloading lorries with sheet materials and organizing storage in the factory
  • Loading our own vans and lorries

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Valid forklift operator certification and/or experience
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Driving licence

  • Operating forklifts
  • Driving the company van
  • Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
