Weekend Shifts & Pay:

  • Weekend Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 05:45 - 17:45 (36 hours)
  • Weekend Nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 17:45 - 05:45 (36 hours)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate EDM machines, producing precision components to engineering specifications and quality standards. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a high-accuracy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC EDM machines according to method specifications
  • Set up machines and fixtures accurately to meet production requirements
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Inspect machined parts and take approved actions to resolve quality issues
  • Operate CMM machines to support inspection requirements
  • Maintain production targets, quality standards, and housekeeping expectations
  • Follow company policies including Health & Safety and Code of Conduct

Requirements:

  • CNC machining experience or relevant engineering background, ideally with a recognised machining apprenticeship
  • Experience working with metal components
  • Ability to perform self-inspections using manual measurement tools
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently

Desirable:

  • Previous CNC EDM experience
  • Aerospace sector experience
  • CNC programme editing or basic G-code adjustments
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
