An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to support machining, production, and new product introduction activities within a precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily operations meetings and take ownership of Manufacturing Engineering issues
- Create and control manufacturing documentation including SOPs, set-up packs and work instructions
- Support NPDI activities including cost estimates, manufacturing routes and customer approvals
- Ensure tooling and fixturing is available to support safe and efficient production
- Create and validate CNC programs to meet quality and cycle time requirements
- Support LEAN and continuous improvement activities across EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery
- Apply structured problem-solving methods to improve process and quality capability
- Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
- Experience within an Aerospace production environment
- HND or higher in Electronic Engineering or similar
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining techniques
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
- CAD / CAM experience (SolidWorks / CAM preferred)
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and use own initiative
