As the CNC Miller Programmer, you will create, develop and optimise CNC programs for complex precision components while supporting production to maintain efficiency and quality.
Programming complex 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines using Hypermill CAM software.
Creating new programs from customer drawings and CAD models.
Optimising existing programs to improve cycle times and machining efficiency.
Supporting machine setters and operators during new product introductions.
Selecting appropriate tooling, cutting strategies and machining methods.
Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and CAD data.
Liaising with engineering and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Ensuring all work complies with company quality procedures and health and safety standards.
Previous experience programming CNC milling machines using Hypermill CAM software.
Strong knowledge of 3, 4 and 5-axis machining.
Experience producing complex, precision-machined components.
Excellent understanding of machining strategies, tooling and cutting data.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
Knowledge of precision inspection techniques and tight-tolerance machining.
Experience within the aerospace industry or another highly regulated manufacturing sector.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
