CNC Turning Setter Operator
Location: Warwick
Commutable from: Leamington Spa, Coventry, Kenilworth, Stratford upon Avon, Rugby
Salary: Up to £19 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 14:30-23:30, Friday 12:45-17:30 (Total 39hrs)
About the Company
Our client is a precision engineering manufacturer supplying components and assemblies to the aerospace and motorsport industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turning Setter Operator to join their production team.
The Role
- You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high precision components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components.
- Work with FANUC CNC programs including canned cycles.
- Read and interpret final and stage engineering drawings.
- Upload programs into machines and set tools, chucks, collets and fixtures.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Record dimensions against drawing requirements during the manufacturing process.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
About You
- Experience setting and operating CNC turning machines.
- Familiar with FANUC controls and canned cycles.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic maths skills for machining calculations.
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship would be advantageous.
