The Fabrication Team Leader role: As a Fabrication Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the activities of the fabrication team. You will be responsible for ensuring the team meets production targets while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Fabrication Team Leader responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the fabrication team
- Oversee the fabrication process to ensure products meet quality standards
- Train and mentor team members to improve skills and productivity
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and deadlines
- Monitor and report on production metrics and performance
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of welding processes and equipment
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Certification as a Coded Welder or equivalent is a plus
Day-to-day:
- Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas for safety and quality
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth production processes
- Compile and analyse production reports to identify areas for improvement
