About the Company
Our client is a specialist composites manufacturer supporting a range of high-performance engineering projects across advanced manufacturing sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a CAD Designer to join their expanding team, with exciting opportunities to support future projects within the aerospace and defence industries.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD Designer with a strong composites background to work on technically challenging projects within a specialist manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop CAD designs for composite and carbon fibre components
- Produce accurate engineering drawings and design documentation
- Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to support production requirements
- Assist with the development of new products and manufacturing processes
- Ensure designs meet customer, quality and project requirements
- Support continuous improvement activities within the design function
About You
- Previous CAD design experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong composites or carbon fibre knowledge is essential
- Experience using CAD software such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Creo or similar
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams
- Experience within motorsport, aerospace, defence or advanced manufacturing sectors would be advantageous
