The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join a busy fabrication team on a permanent four-day working week. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and spraying structural steel fabrications and metal components, ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality finish whilst maintaining excellent safety and housekeeping standards.

Duties:

  • Preparing steel fabrications and metal components for painting.
  • Mixing paints and coatings to specification.
  • Applying primers and topcoats using airless and conventional spray equipment.
  • Carrying out masking, cleaning and sanding prior to painting.
  • Producing high-quality painted finishes to customer specifications.
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Maintaining spray equipment and keeping work areas clean and organised.
  • Following all health and safety procedures.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have experience as a Paint Sprayer within a manufacturing, engineering, steel fabrication, industrial, automotive or commercial vehicle environment. Experience spraying structural steel, fabricated metalwork, commercial vehicles, plant machinery or similar products would be advantageous; however, candidates with automotive paint spraying experience are encouraged to apply as full product training can be provided.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous paint spraying experience.
  • Knowledge of paint preparation, mixing ratios and application techniques.
  • Experience using airless and conventional spray equipment.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work from job specifications and quality standards.
  • A reliable and hardworking attitude.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
