Fabricator Welder

Location: Coventry

Commutable from: Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Solihull

Salary: £18.25 per hour

£19.17 per hour after successful completion of 3-month probation

£19.53 per hour after 6 months

Overtime available

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:45 (4-Day Working Week)

Our client is a well-established aerospace manufacturer supplying high-quality fabricated and welded components to the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Fabricator Welder to their skilled production team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Fabricator Welder to join a growing aerospace business offering long-term stability, ongoing training and genuine earning potential. Working from engineering drawings, you will be responsible for producing precision fabricated components to the highest quality standards.

  • MIG and TIG welding of aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
  • Fabrication and assembly of aerospace components
  • Sawing, cutting, drilling and tapping operations
  • Installation of helicoils
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Maintaining high quality and safety standards

About You

  • Previous fabrication and welding experience
  • MIG and TIG welding skills
  • Experience working with aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Confident using workshop machinery and hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality

Desirable:

  • BS EN ISO 9606-1 and/or BS EN ISO 9606-2 welding qualifications

Candidates without these qualifications are still encouraged to apply, as training and certification can be provided.
