About the Position
We are recruiting a commercially focused POS Account Manager to take ownership of a flagship, multimillion-pound client account with significant growth potential. This is a high-profile and fast-paced position working with a demanding, design-led client within the retail and point-of-sale sector. You will act as the central link between the client and internal design, technical development and manufacturing teams, ensuring concepts progress successfully from the initial brief through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a high-value strategic client account.
- Develop the account by identifying and converting new commercial opportunities.
- Build strong and trusted client relationships while maintaining a clear commercial focus.
- Translate creative client briefs into practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Work closely with design, technical development and manufacturing teams.
- Provide commercially sound advice on feasibility, materials and production methods.
- Constructively challenge client expectations and recommend alternative, value-led solutions.
- Manage projects across the design, development and manufacturing stages.
- Monitor account performance, margins and growth opportunities.
- Act as the main escalation point for a fast-moving and demanding client.
- Ensure projects are delivered smoothly and meet the client's quality expectations.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a similar commercial, client-facing position.
- A background in POS, retail displays, merchandising solutions or a related sector.
- A strong understanding of the complete product lifecycle.
- Experience working with design and technical teams.
- The ability to translate creative concepts into practical manufacturing solutions.
- Confidence discussing feasibility, materials and production constraints with clients.
- Strong commercial awareness, with a focus on margins, growth and identifying opportunities.
- Experience managing high-profile or demanding client accounts.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to balance creativity with practical and commercial decision-making.
- Experience in health and beauty, cosmetics, FMCG packaging, branded environments, design-led manufacturing or technical sales would also be highly relevant.
