We are recruiting a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a well-established business operating within the shopfitting, bespoke joinery and interior fit-out sectors. Combining new business development with account management, you will identify and secure new clients while developing existing accounts. You will also oversee projects through delivery, acting as the main link between clients and internal design, manufacturing and installation teams. This role would suit someone from shopfitting, fit-out or interiors who is currently working in business development, account management, project management or estimating and wants to move into a more sales-focused, higher-earning position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking and lead conversion.
  • Identify and secure opportunities across the retail, commercial and interior sectors.
  • Develop a strong sales pipeline and convert opportunities into new business.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts.
  • Build lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Oversee projects from the initial brief through to completion.
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing and installation teams.
  • Ensure projects meet agreed commercial and profit targets.
  • Contribute to the wider sales strategy and growth of the business.

What We're Looking For

  • A proven track record in business development and winning new clients.
  • Experience within a target-driven sales or account management role.
  • Confidence in prospecting, pipeline development and closing opportunities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Good commercial awareness, with a focus on revenue and margins.
  • Experience in any of the following would be highly desirable: Shopfitting, interior fit-out, joinery, retail interiors or POS/display.
  • A project-led design and manufacturing environment.
  • Working with design, manufacturing or installation teams.
  • Estimating or pricing within a project-led business.

  • £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
  • Uncapped commission with an OTE of £60,000 - £75,000+.
