We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join an established precision engineering company. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional looking for a long-term position with a company that offers genuine career progression.
The successful candidate will be responsible for offline programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines, producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.
The Role
- Creating and modifying offline CNC programmes using Alphacam
- Setting and operating CNC turning machines
- Working with Doosan and DMG NLX machines
- Programming and editing using Fanuc controls
- Producing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensuring components are manufactured to the required quality and tolerances
- Carrying out quality checks and using a range of measuring equipment
- Working efficiently to production schedules and deadlines
- Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in CNC Turning
- Strong offline programming experience using Alphacam - essential
- Experience with Doosan and DMG NLX machines - essential
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of precision engineering and machining tolerances
- A good eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team
Salary & Benefits
- £19.10 - £20.50 per hour, depending on experience
- 39 hours per week
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm
