About the Company:

Our client is a leading trade-only sign manufacturer, producing high-quality signage for customers across the UK. They are looking for a reliable and motivated Paint Prep Operative to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who takes pride in preparing components to a high standard before painting and finishing.

About the Role:

As a Paint Prep Operative, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sign components for the paint process, ensuring they meet our quality standards. Your duties will include:

  • Preparing aluminium and other materials for painting
  • Cleaning, sanding and masking components
  • Filling and smoothing surfaces where required
  • Inspecting items for imperfections before painting
  • Assisting with the movement and handling of materials
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
  • Supporting the paint shop and production team as required

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in paint preparation, manufacturing or a similar production environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong commitment to quality and health & safety
