A leading manufacturing and engineering business, working across structural, rail, and automotive industries. With a reputation for quality and long-term customer partnerships, they are now looking for a dedicated Fabrication Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Visual Welding Inspector
This is an excellent opportunity for a coded welder, plater, or fabricator looking to move off the tools into welding/fabrication inspection, as well as for experienced welding inspectors seeking a new challenge. You\βll carry out visual inspections of welds and fabricated components, ensuring compliance with drawings, standards, and specifications, while supporting fabrication and production teams to maintain high quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Carry out visual inspections of welds and fabricated components in line with relevant industry standards.
- Verify compliance with welding procedures, project drawings, and specifications.
- Record and maintain clear, accurate inspection reports.
- Support welding and fabrication teams by communicating quality expectations and providing feedback.
- Monitor and report on weld quality during fabrication and/or installation.
- Always uphold Health & Safety standards on site.
Candidate
- Coded welder, plater, or fabricator looking to progress into inspection or an experienced welding/fabrication inspector.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, weld quality, and fabrication standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Licence/Certification Required
- CSWIP or Visual Inspection Qualification
