The MIG Welder Role: As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components while ensuring accuracy and consistency in your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG welding mild steel components
- Fabricating and assembling parts to specification
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Measuring and preparing materials for production
- Setting up welding equipment based on job requirements
- Fettling and grinding sheet metal
- Conducting quality checks on your own work
- Identifying and reporting any issues or defects
- Handling tools and materials safely and efficiently
About You:
- 1+ years' experience as a Welder
- Read blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Knowledge of using measuring equipment to quality check work
- Fettling and grinding sheet metal work
- Quality check finished products
- Record and report any issues
- Manual handling of different tools to complete the job to the highest standards set
