The Vertical Borer role: We are looking for an experienced Vertical Borer to join our precision machining department. You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC vertical boring machines to manufacture components in line with customer specifications and production schedules. This role offers the opportunity to work on large, high-value aerospace components within a modern manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC vertical boring machines, including Webster Bennett, Doosan and Hyundai machines.
- Machine components ranging from 600mm to 1500mm diameter to customer specifications.
- Set tooling, edit programmes and operate Fanuc and Siemens control systems.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and production documentation.
- Inspect your own work using precision measuring equipment.
