About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver & Labourer to join a busy and growing manufacturing company based in the LE2 area. This is a varied role combining nationwide delivery driving with general workshop support. Your time will be split between driving the company van to deliver products and materials to customers and suppliers, and assisting within the workshop carrying out a range of general labouring duties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking for a stable, long-term position with an early finish every Friday.
Duties Include:
- Driving the company van to complete local deliveries and collections
- Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
- Assisting in the workshop with general labouring duties
- Cleaning and maintaining the workshop and work areas
- Sorting and disposing of waste materials, including recycling
- Drilling, tapping and preparing metal components
- Assisting the fabrication team with general workshop tasks as required
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
About You:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous experience driving a van for work
- Happy to carry out both driving and workshop duties
- Experience using hand and power tools would be advantageous
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Good attention to detail and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment would be beneficial
