Job Title: Turning Technician
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £38,500 per annum
Shift: Rotating: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (Friday: 6am-1pm and 1pm-8pm)

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Turning Technician to manufacture high-precision infrared and visible optical components using single-point diamond turning machinery, achieving exceptional surface finishes and micron-level tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate diamond turning machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
- Select tooling and adjust machine settings.
- Inspect components using precision measurement equipment.
- Maintain quality standards, production records and traceability.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience operating diamond turning machines or CNC lathes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
- Experience using precision measurement equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
