We are recruiting an Operations Director for a £16 million turnover manufacturer specialising in fabrication and welding. This is a key board-level appointment with the scope to assess current performance, shape operational strategy and deliver meaningful improvements throughout the facility.
The Role
You will be responsible for creating a safe, efficient and high-performing operation that consistently meets its quality, cost and delivery objectives. Your key priorities will include:
- Setting and delivering the operational strategy.
- Improving productivity, efficiency and production flow.
- Strengthening planning, capacity and resource management.
- Establishing clear performance measures and accountability.
- Developing a capable and engaged management team.
- Ensuring customer requirements and delivery targets are achieved.
- Supporting commercial decisions and wider business objectives.
About You
You will be a credible and commercially focused leader with senior-level experience gained within manufacturing or engineering. A background in fabrication, welding or metal manufacturing would be highly advantageous. You will have a strong record of delivering sustainable operational improvements, leading change and developing people. You must also be comfortable contributing at board level while maintaining a visible presence across the facility.
