The Role
- Manufacture, assemble, fit and repair precision tools
- Work on complex toolmaking projects within the Tool Room
- Strip down tooling, diagnose faults and carry out repairs
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to measure and mark out designs
- Operate machinery including lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders
- Use 2D and 3D CAD CAM software
- Implement modifications to moulds where required
- Escalate production issues to the Tool Room Supervisor
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, quality and health and safety
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Communicate effectively across shifts, documenting actions and issues
About You
- Previous experience as a Toolmaker
- Ability to manufacture and repair precision tooling
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings
- Experience operating toolroom machinery
- Knowledge of CAD CAM software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
