About the Company
Our client is a well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-quality machined components. Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, they are looking to strengthen their machining team with an experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner looking to join a business that values quality, precision and continuous improvement. Working within a busy machine shop, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components to exact specifications and tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC turning machines
- Work with FANUC controls and CNC programs, including canned cycles
- Read and interpret stage and final engineering drawings
- Upload programs and set tooling, chucks, collets and fixtures
- Produce first-off components and carry out in-process inspections
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
- Record dimensions against drawing requirements throughout production
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic fault finding
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping
