Location: Melton Mowbray
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
Hours: 08:30am to 5:30pm Mon to Thu, 08:30 to 1pm on Fri
Site work will generally be undertaken early morning or evenings/nights whereby a Site Rate will be paid of £18.00 - £22.00 per hour depending on experience.

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Workshop & Installations Operative to join a busy production and installation team. The role combines workshop-based fabrication and assembly with on-site installation of bespoke retail displays, POS units, and exhibition stands. This role offers variety, travel, and the opportunity to develop a broad skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and prepare bespoke furniture, POS units, and exhibition stands in the workshop
- Use hand, air, and power tools safely and efficiently
- Carry out site installations, including POS units, wall bays, and exhibition displays
- Perform basic wiring, testing, and adjustments to finished installations
- Undertake maintenance and repairs on existing installations
- Remove and safely disconnect displays as required
- Follow drawings, specifications, and work instructions accurately
- Assist with occasional graphic application, spraying, and finishing tasks
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Travel to client sites within the UK
About You
- Practical, hands-on approach with a strong team ethic
- Ability to read technical drawings and work to specification
- Competent with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
- Previous experience in assembly, installation, or joinery preferred but not essential
- Experience with POS, retail, or exhibition fit-outs desirable but not essential
- Experience with glass bonding, spraying, or finishing a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Full UK driving licence required for transporting displays
