The Machine Fitter Role: The Machine Fitter is a key member of the Production Team supporting the build and retrofit of CNC and automated machine systems. The duties include:
- Building and assembling CNC machines
- Aligning ball screws, linear rails
- Disassembly of machines and rebuild with new components
- All machine and axis alignments
- Working from engineering drawings
- Meeting Environmental, Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements
About You: Experience of assembling mechanical assemblies relevant to CNC machine tools including pneumatics, hydraulics and/or pressure-based fluid systems. Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and geometric tolerances. Hand scraping experience is beneficial but not essential. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, problem resolution and creative thinking skills. Ethical and trustworthy.
