About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver to provide temporary sickness cover within their busy operation. This role is initially expected to last a minimum of one week, however there is the potential for the assignment to be extended.

You will be responsible for driving a company Sprinter Van, completing deliveries throughout the Leicestershire area and ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time. This is a physically demanding role and will involve heavy lifting and manual handling as part of the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving a company Sprinter Van to complete deliveries across Leicestershire.
  • Loading and unloading goods safely and securely.
  • Carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
  • Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Completing delivery paperwork where required.
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
  • Providing excellent customer service when delivering goods.
  • Following all road traffic regulations and company procedures.

About You

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience preferred.
  • Comfortable driving a long-wheelbase Sprinter Van.
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Good knowledge of the Leicestershire area.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
