About the Role
We are looking for a dependable Warehouse Operative to join a busy and well-organised warehouse operation. This role is hands-on and suits someone who works accurately, follows procedures, and takes pride in keeping a warehouse running properly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload inbound deliveries and move stock to designated storage areas
- Stack and store products safely and efficiently
- Pick, check, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Use barcode scanners to pick orders and manage inventory correctly
- Meet picking and dispatch targets while maintaining quality standards
- Assist with stock checks and physical inventories, ensuring correct stock rotation
- Inspect inbound and outbound goods and report any damage or discrepancies
- Operate forklift trucks safely and in line with company procedures
- Follow all health, safety, and security policies at all times
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised working environment
- Carry out general warehouse duties as required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and manage time effectively
- Experience using barcode scanners and inventory systems
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (desirable)
- Valid Bendi (Flexi) Forklift Truck Licence (desirable)
- Awareness of ISO 9001 quality standards
- A reliable, safety-focused, and proactive attitude
Additional Requirements:
Due to this being an HMRC-approved premises, and in line with industry accreditation requirements, successful candidates must be willing to complete:
- A 5-year employment and address history check
- A DBS check
