The Bench Hand Joiner Role
As a Bench Hand Joiner, you'll manufacture, assemble, and finish high-quality wooden furniture using a range of tools and machinery. You'll work from detailed technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, precision, and an excellent standard of finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble, and finish bespoke wooden products
- Work accurately from technical drawings
- Quality-check and finish your own work
- Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Supervise and coordinate a workshop team
The Candidate:
- Experienced in high-end bench joinery, laminating, or cabinet making
- Skilled in using hand tools and woodworking machinery such as routers, edge banders, planers, and table saws
- Apprentice-trained or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
