The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing installation and commissioning team. This is a field-based role involving the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of heavy plant machinery at customer sites throughout the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of heavy plant machinery
- Service, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on customer sites
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Supporting testing and commissioning activities
- Completing service reports and handover documentation
- Working closely with site teams and customers
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
About You
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, or similar
- Background within heavy plant, quarrying, recycling, construction, or industrial machinery
- Strong mechanical fitting and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently on customer sites
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas
Desirable Experience
- Crushers, conveyors, screeners, or material handling equipment
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Site installation and commissioning
- Welding or fabrication experience
- CSCS, IPAF, or similar certifications
