The Role
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Development Designer to begin or further their career within a fast-moving POS and retail design environment. The role supports the development team in delivering practical, commercially viable solutions while working closely with internal departments and site teams as required.
The Role Responsibilities
- Produce development solutions that support the client's design and technical intent
- Conduct site surveys with supervision from senior staff as required
- Assist as part of an installation team on site when needed
- Identify and report risks promptly to enable effective business response
- Collaborate with Planning, Workshop, Prototype, and Pre-Production teams to ensure alignment with development activity and sales forecasts
- Participate in training and coaching to support personal and professional development
About You
- Solid knowledge of SolidWorks
- Good IT literacy, including MS Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident reporting capability
- Comfortable participating in client meetings and internal discussions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Methodical and precise with accurate record-keeping skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Target-driven and able to work independently or as part of a team
