We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Airfreight Import Coordinator to join our operations team. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import process for airfreight shipments, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, compliantly, and on schedule. The role also involves supporting European road freight operations where required, while delivering a high standard of customer service and maintaining strong relationships with customers, carriers, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end coordination of airfreight import shipments from origin through to final delivery.
- Receive and process customer bookings, providing accurate quotations based on customer requirements.
- Arrange transport services, including airfreight imports and European road freight, coordinating collections and deliveries as required.
- Prepare and check all shipping and import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Complete and submit Customs Declarations in accordance with current customs regulations.
- Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers throughout the import process.
- Liaise daily with customers, airlines, hauliers, customs authorities, and overseas agents to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, escalating where appropriate.
- Carry out general administration and accounting duties relevant to the role.
- Support the wider operations team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all activities comply with company procedures, customs requirements, and industry regulations.

- Previous experience within airfreight imports is essential.
- Experience of European road freight operations.
- Working knowledge of CargoWise.
- Experience completing Customs Declarations.
