Commutable from: Nottingham, Eastwood, Ilkeston, Mansfield and surrounding areas

Shift: Monday to Friday - Day shifts

About the Company

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business specialising in precision fabrication and metalwork solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their night shift team with an experienced CNC Operator.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator to join a busy fabrication and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting machinery and supporting production processes to ensure components are manufactured to specification and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC plasma cutting machines
  • Loading and unloading sheet metal and fabrication materials
  • Monitoring machine performance and adjusting settings where required
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
  • Conducting quality inspections against engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Using hand tools, grinding equipment, and welding techniques where required
  • Supporting assembly processes when needed
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures

About You

  • Previous experience within fabrication, welding, grinding, or mechanical manufacturing
  • Knowledge of sheet metal work and assembly processes
  • Familiar with hand tools and machine operating principles
  • Good understanding of measurements and calculations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Previous CNC or plasma cutting experience highly desirable
  • Reliable and able to work permanent night shifts
