With decades of experience delivering bridges and structural steelwork across the UK, they have built a strong reputation for quality and technical excellence.
About the Role:
As part of a strategic move to bring design work in-house that has previously been subcontracted, our client is expanding its drawing office and recruiting multiple CAD Draughtsmen across all levels, from junior to advanced. You'll be producing detailed fabrication and general arrangement drawings for structural steelwork projects, working closely with engineers, production, and site teams to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and delivered on programme. This is a client-facing role, so you'll also liaise directly with clients and contractors to resolve queries and ensure designs meet project requirements. There's genuine scope to grow with the business as it builds out its in-house design capability.
About You:
- Experience using 3D AutoCAD and Autodesk Advance Steel (essential).
- A background in structural steelwork, fabrication, or infrastructure projects (essential).
- Comfortable liaising directly with clients and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- A team player who can work well within a busy drawing office environment.
- Whether you're at the start of your CAD career or an experienced draughtsman, there's a level of this role suited to you - junior, intermediate, and advanced applicants are all encouraged to apply.
