Location: Leicester
Shift: 07:30am to 04:30pm Mon to Thu / 07:30am to 12:30pm on Fri
Pay Rate: £12.32 per hour + overtime

Our client: A leading UK manufacturer supplying global markets. Established over 50 years ago, they offer bespoke and often very complex components in an extensive range of metals and specialist alloys. The company promotes a 'family-like' culture with many social events throughout the year.
They are looking to recruit a General Operative to join their Finishing Department and are looking for someone who has previous experience of metal finishing or fabricating and is also willing to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment. The ideal person should have the ability to finish various types of metal products with accurate precision whilst meeting customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out ingating, linishing and fettling to ensure customer quality standards are always maintained.
- Grind, sand, clean and finish parts using hand tools or power equipment such as shot blasters and floor standing power linishers.
- Trim, file, grind, debur, buff and smooth surfaces.
- Use of tabletop laser welder.
- Grind down welds using handheld grinder.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity to handle small to large, different shaped parts/items.
The Candidate:
- Must have experience with undertaking Metal Polishing or Fabrication in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
- Be competent in the use of hand and power tools, grinding tools and power linishers.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
- Able to follow written instructions.
- Adhere to health & safety guidelines.
- Be willing to learn and develop.
