Our Client:
A successful manufacturing company working across a range of industries across the UK. Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver/Labourer to join their dynamic team. This position involves operating a forklift and performing general labor duties in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks, and stack and store items in designated areas
- Assist with general labor tasks such as packaging, assembly, and inventory control
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Update the computerised Warehouse Management System
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification and prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor tasks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Computer literate and able to confidently enter data into the computerised system
- Flexibility to work in a variety of warehouse environments and adapt to changing priorities
Day-to-day
- Operate forklift to transport materials and products
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Perform general labor duties such as packaging and inventory control
- Communicate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse
