Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Labourer with a valid Forklift Truck licence to join our busy manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role involving general shop floor duties, heavy lifting, and occasional driving of the company van. You will play a key part in keeping the production area running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials, products, and waste around the factory.
Load and unload machinery with raw materials or finished products.
Carry out general shop floor duties including moving stock, sweeping, and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
Handle recycling tasks, including separating and moving waste materials to designated areas.
Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, including manual handling of heavy goods.
Use the company van when required to transport goods, materials, or make collections/deliveries.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Requirements:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (RTITB or equivalent).
Full, clean UK Driving Licence (essential).
Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or factory environment preferred.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic with a proactive approach to tasks.
