The Role
You will receive enquiries, prepare accurate estimates, and convert orders into manufacturing packages for the Project/Contract Management team. Clear communication with Project Managers and strong customer relationships are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret technical tender drawings
- Extract, quantify and price materials for fabrication
- Determine efficient manufacturing processes for labour and cost
- Estimate labour times and production routes
- Source and validate supply chain costs
- Prepare and issue detailed quotations
- Liaise with customers, negotiate and finalise tenders
- Maintain accurate CRM records in line with BDM requirements
- Build knowledge of market pricing
- Provide timely responses and excellent service to all enquiries
About You
- Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and related industries
- Network of contacts in the steel fabrication market (desirable)
- Sales experience in a client-facing environment
- Strong IT proficiency, including CRM systems
- Excellent numerical ability and commercial awareness
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
