Working within a precision-focused environment, the business produces components where weld quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. This is an opportunity for a skilled welder to bring their experience into a specialist aerospace environment, working to demanding quality standards and contributing to the manufacture of precision-engineered components. The Role As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality TIG welding work to engineering drawings, specifications and required quality standards. You'll need a methodical approach, the ability to produce consistent welds and a strong understanding of working safely within a manufacturing environment. The role would suit an experienced TIG Welder who takes pride in their workmanship and understands the importance of precision, quality and consistency. Key Responsibilities Carry out TIG welding on components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Produce accurate, consistent, high-quality welds. Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding instructions. Prepare materials and components for welding. Select appropriate welding techniques and settings for the job. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required quality standards. Identify and report welding defects or quality issues. Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail. Follow relevant welding procedures and manufacturing instructions. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area. Comply with company quality procedures and health and safety requirements. Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production schedules and quality targets. About You We're looking for an experienced TIG Welder with a strong practical background and a commitment to producing high-quality work. You should have: Previous experience working as a TIG Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong TIG welding skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience preparing components and materials for welding. Good understanding of weld quality and defect identification. Excellent attention to detail. A consistent and methodical approach to work. Good understanding of workshop health and safety. Experience within aerospace, precision engineering or another quality-critical manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
