The Role

  • You will be responsible for maintaining sophisticated manufacturing equipment, with a particular focus on Zünd or Kongsberg digital cutting tables.
  • Working closely with production, you will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment availability, improve reliability and minimise downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Maintain and fault-find Zünd or Kongsberg cutting tables
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control-related faults
  • Respond efficiently to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and implement permanent solutions
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning and improvement of machinery
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment problems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Complete all work safely and in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and engineering best practice

Candidate Requirements

  • Essential hands-on maintenance experience with Zünd or Kongsberg digital cutting tables
  • Previous Maintenance Engineer experience within a manufacturing or automated production environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Good understanding of automated manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to diagnose faults efficiently and minimise downtime
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of maintenance activities
