About the Company

The Role
The business is recruiting a CNC Miller to support machining and production activities within its engineering facility.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC machinery
Interpreting drawings and reviewing quality specifications to ensure parts meet customer and company requirements
Designing and producing mandrels, jigs and fixtures where required
Following operation sheets to ensure parts progress correctly and on time through the factory
Carrying out quality checks using micrometres, verniers, gauges and other measuring equipment
Supporting and mentoring less experienced machine operators (for fully skilled machinists)
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support company and customer targets
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislative requirements
Setting and operating a range of conventional and CNC machines (milling, turning, grinding or mill-turn)
Completing any other duties required by the companyEssential Skills
Mechanical apprentice trained or qualified by xiskglj experience
Good written and verbal communication skills, able to interact with internal and external contacts at all levels
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task with guidance and supervisionDesirable Skills
