About the Company
Our client is a leading joinery and interior fit-out contractor, who are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join their technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-quality projects, producing detailed drawings for fabrication and on-site installation.
The Role
As the CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings to support their joinery installation and fit‑out operations. You will work alongside designers, project managers, site teams and potentially workshop / fabrication staff to translate design intent into accurate drawing packages suitable for fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and update 2D AutoCAD drawings for joinery, fitted furniture, and interior fit-out projects.
- Prepare fabrication and installation drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design intent.
- Liaise with site teams, designers, and workshop staff to resolve technical queries.
- Maintain drawing registers and version control, updating drawings based on client and site feedback.
- Assist with as-built drawings and handover documentation.
About You:
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician in joinery, interior fit-out, or architectural environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); experience with 3D software like Revit or SketchUp is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce fabrication-ready drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with drawing management and technical coordination on site projects.
