About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Bench Fitter to join the manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing and assembling manufactured parts to specification, using the tools provided and following strict processes and procedures. The role includes part marking, occasional Alocrom (chromate conversion coating) work, carrying out daily checks, creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good housekeeping standards, and experience using hand and pneumatic tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finish manufactured parts to the required specification.
- Use the tools provided to carry out day-to-day tasks.
- Assemble components and finished parts.
- Carry out Alocrom (chromate conversion coating) processes when required.
- Mark parts using dot-peen and inkjet machines, with occasional vibro-etching.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete daily equipment and process checks.
- Follow work routings and manufacturing processes.
