Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start time)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Overtime: 1.5x standard rate, 2x on Sundays

A well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced technical environment is seeking to recruit a skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis. The business operates modern facilities and places a strong focus on equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
- To carry out corrective and planned maintenance activities across a broad range of plant, machinery, and site equipment, supporting operational efficiency and minimising downtime.
- Carry out corrective maintenance on plant machinery and associated equipment in line with legislative and best practice guidelines.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with schedules and procedures.
- Diagnose faults efficiently and ensure repairs are completed to a high standard.
- Report any follow-up or remedial work required to the appropriate supervision.
- Record equipment issues and recurring faults to help improve maintenance strategies.
- Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new or upgraded equipment.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations and internal standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to minimise disruption.
- Keep working areas clean, safe, and free from debris following maintenance work.
The Candidate
- The position would suit a Plant or Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical skills and some electrical knowledge.
- Proven experience working on industrial plant, process equipment, or automated machinery.
- Ability to fault-find and diagnose both mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Experience with general site services or facilities equipment would be advantageous.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and proactive approach to maintenance work.
