About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an Acrylic Prototyper to join a busy production and development team. This is a hands-on role focused on building and developing bespoke acrylic prototypes for retail displays, POS solutions, and commercial interior projects. The successful candidate will ideally have experience within acrylic fabrication, prototyping, model making, signage, shopfitting, or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and assembling bespoke acrylic prototypes
- Cutting, bending, polishing, gluing, and finishing acrylic materials
- Producing one-off and prototype display units from technical drawings
- Working closely with design and development teams to bring concepts to life
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure prototypes meet required standards
- Problem-solving and adapting builds where required during development stages
- Maintaining clean and safe working areas in line with health & safety procedures
- Working to project deadlines within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
About You
- Previous experience within acrylic fabrication, prototyping, POS, signage, shopfitting, or manufacturing preferred
- Experience working with plastics, acrylics, Perspex, or display materials beneficial
- Able to read and work accurately from technical drawings and measurements
- Skilled using hand and power tools confidently
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes
- Creative and practical approach to problem-solving and prototype development
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexible approach and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
