This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a section of 22 CNC milling machines , driving productivity, maintaining exceptional quality standards and leading a skilled team.
The successful candidate will also oversee the de-burring department, ensuring efficient workflow, high standards of workmanship and effective team management.
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation of a 22-machine CNC milling section.
Produce, modify and optimise CNC programs using offline programming software.
Drive machine utilisation, efficiency and productivity across the department.
Plan and coordinate workflow to ensure customer delivery dates are consistently achieved.
Lead, motivate and develop the milling team, ensuring high standards of performance and accountability.
Manage staffing levels and allocate work effectively across the department.
Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and organisation.
Oversee the de-burring department, managing workflow, priorities and personnel.
Work closely with Planning, Quality and Production Management to maximise output.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
