About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Team Leader to join a permanent late shift team at their Leicester based factory. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sheet metal folder who is ready to take on a leadership role within a growing team. You'll be responsible for leading a small team of 2-5 operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining quality standards, and providing first-line support for any production issues that arise during the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small late shift production team.
- Ensure daily production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Set priorities and organise workloads for the late shift.
- Liaise with the day shift Team Leaders during shift handovers to ensure a smooth transition and clear production priorities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide first-line problem solving.
- Support continuous improvement within the department.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and housekeeping.
About You:
- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Folder is essential.
- Experience in a Chargehand, Team Leader, or supervisory role is desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate a small team and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
Training & Development:
Full training will be provided on non-folding processes, including robotic welding, enabling the successful candidate to carry out first-line fault finding and provide wider support across the department.
