About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality domiciliary care services across the Manchester area. The successful candidate will ensure that all customers receive safe, person-centred, and compassionate care that promotes dignity, independence, and an excellent quality of life.

Reporting to the senior management team, the Care Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, providing strong leadership to staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the homecare service to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality care delivery.
  • Promote the rights and independence of each customer, ensuring their needs and preferences are central to their care plans.
  • Conduct full assessments of care and associated risks prior to the start of service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain personalised care and support plans in collaboration with customers and their representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, legislation, and internal quality standards.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise care staff to maintain a professional, skilled, and motivated workforce.
  • Lead on safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety compliance.
  • Handle complaints and incidents professionally, using outcomes to implement service improvements.
  • Represent the organisation positively at external meetings and contribute to business development objectives.
  • Maintain a minimum “Good” CQC rating across all service areas, while striving for “Outstanding.”

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Care Manager, Deputy Manager, or similar leadership role within domiciliary or homecare services.
  • Excellent understanding of CQC standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
