Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You’ll be working on a variety of bespoke builds across London and the Home Counties, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Manage subcontractor procurement and valuations
- Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports
- Conduct site visits and liaise with project teams
- Assess and manage risk and value engineering opportunities
- Handle final accounts and project close-out
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the UK construction industry
- Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects in the £500k–£5m range
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS, BSc in Quantity Surveying)
