  • Take Ownership of Projects That Matter

If you're the kind of Project Manager who enjoys running projects from the first estimate through to the final handover, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

A respected family-owned fit-out contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality retail, commercial and interior fit-out projects across the UK.

Their success has been built on repeat business, trusted client relationships and a team that genuinely enjoys what they do.

As our workload continues to grow, we're looking for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys variety, and wants to play a key role in delivering exceptional projects.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional Project Manager role.

You'll combine project delivery with commercial responsibility, taking ownership from pricing and procurement through to site delivery, final accounts and client handover.

No two projects are the same, giving you the chance to work across a wide variety of retail, commercial and interior environments.

Although you'll be based from their Croydon office when not on site, you'll spend much of your time visiting projects throughout London, the South East and occasionally across the UK.

If you like being trusted to get on with the job, making decisions and seeing projects through from start to finish, you'll fit in well here.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll have full ownership of multiple projects, including

  • Managing shopfitting and fit-out projects from tender through to completion.
  • Reviewing architectural and construction drawings.
  • Producing estimates, cost plans and project pricing.
  • Carrying out quantity surveying duties including take-offs, valuations and cost management.
  • Procuring subcontractors and materials.
  • Managing project budgets and financial performance.
  • Coordinating site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitoring programmes and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Managing project variations, applications and commercial reporting.
  • Conducting regular site visits and client meetings.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on budget and to the highest standard.
  • Building lasting relationships with clients through excellent communication and service.
  • What They Are Looking For

They are interested in experienced professionals who can confidently manage projects with minimal supervision.

You'll ideally have

  • Previous experience delivering shopfitting, retail fit-out, commercial interiors or refurbishment projects.
  • Strong Project Management experience from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Good commercial awareness and experience managing project costs.
  • The ability to interpret technical and architectural drawings.
  • Experience preparing estimates, valuations and cost reports.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple live projects.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • Flexibility to travel throughout the UK when required.
  • Bonus Points If You Have
  • A Quantity Surveying qualification (HNC, HND or Degree).
  • Experience carrying out both Project Management and Quantity Surveying duties.
  • Previous exposure to retail, hospitality or commercial fit-out environments.
  • Construction or project management qualifications.

Why Join Them?

They are not a large corporate where you're just another number.

As a family-run business, everyone plays an important part in their continued success.

You'll be trusted, supported and given the freedom to take ownership of your projects while working alongside experienced colleagues who genuinely enjoy what they do.

In return you'll receive

  • Salary up to

£65,000 , depending on experience.

  • Company vehicle.
  • Pension contribution.
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
  • A varied portfolio of high-quality fit-out projects.
  • Long-term career development opportunities.
  • A friendly, collaborative and supportive working environment.
  • The opportunity to become a key part of a growing business with an excellent reputation.

Ready for Your Next Challenge?

If you're an experienced Project Manager with strong commercial knowledge and a background in shopfitting, retail fit-out or commercial interiors, we'd love to hear from you.
