Role Overview
The Assistant Project Manager & Estimator will support the delivery of residential maintenance projects from initial enquiry through to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager, this role combines estimating, coordination and site-based oversight, ensuring projects are organised, efficiently managed and completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Manager to prepare quotes and schedule works
- Plan, schedule and manage engineers' daily workloads
- Coordinate projects from initial client enquiry through to completion
- Liaise with homeowners, tenants, landlords and managing agents
- Handle client enquiries, requests and complaints in a professional manner
- Attend site visits to assess works, scope projects and allocate resources
- Maintain accurate organisation, documentation and project tracking
- Ensure works are delivered on time and to required standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role or strong on-site residential experience
- Background within the domestic and residential construction or maintenance sector
- Solid understanding of on-site processes to accurately assess and plan works
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Confident working both in an office environment and on-site
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and support engineers
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Highly organised, detail-focused and proactive approach
- Ability to work independently, make decisions and resolve issues effectively
- Preference for candidates based locally to the area
- Preference for candidates from a trade background
