Optima Site Solutions is looking for an ambitious Trainee Construction Manager to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based at our Harlow office, with regular travel to sites across London and the South East, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about construction and eager to develop into a fully qualified construction professional. You'll benefit from a structured career pathway, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of project delivery while working alongside experienced industry professionals. The Role
As a Trainee Construction Manager, you will rotate through key areas of the business to develop a comprehensive understanding of construction project management, including:
- Estimating and tender preparation
- Quantity surveying and commercial management
- Contracts management
- Procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Project planning and programming
- Site management and health & safety compliance
- Design coordination
- Client liaison and project reporting
- Cost control and financial forecasting
- Quality assurance and project handover
As your knowledge and experience develop, you will take on increasing responsibility, with the opportunity to manage projects from tender stage through to successful completion.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (or currently working towards obtaining one)

- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Degree, HNC or HND in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
- Previous construction experience (placement, apprenticeship, labouring, or similar) is advantageous but not essential
