About the Company
Our client is a growing mechanical and electrical contractor delivering projects across healthcare, education, commercial, and public-sector frameworks. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to take ownership of compliance, health and safety, and quality systems across the organisation.
Role Overview
The Compliance Manager will be the central point of control for all compliance-related activity within the business. The role is responsible for managing company accreditations, health and safety compliance, staff certification and training, and leading the business through ISO 9001 accreditation, working closely with the Directors to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all company accreditations and renewals, including CHAS, Constructionline, and SafeContractor, ensuring compliance standards are met at all times.
- Oversee company-wide health and safety compliance for office and site operations, including RAMS support, certification checks, and incident reporting.
- Maintain the training matrix, track qualifications and renewals, and coordinate training with external providers.
- Lead the implementation, achievement, and ongoing management of ISO 9001, including development of the Quality Management System and audit preparation.
- Identify compliance and process gaps, proposing practical improvements to support framework and public-sector requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Compliance, Health and Safety, or Quality role within construction or M&E.
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and accreditation schemes.
- Experience delivering or managing ISO 9001.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident engaging with senior management, auditors, and external bodies.
- Practical, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
